From Roman Popadiuk, Executive Director
We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas season, and we wish you all the best in this new year.  We look forward to hosting you at some very special events in the upcoming months.

We have several new features to look forward to in 2010. Look for the opportunity to receive e-newsletters to learn about updates and events at the Presidential Library Center. In addition, we hope that you'll take advantage of new website features to be implemented soon, including a member login allowing access to special members-only web content and Bush Foundation event registration.

As always, we look forward to the programs scheduled in the spring and your continued support for the Bush Foundation.

The Culture of WineJoin us for The Culture of Wine exhibit, a unique and innovative approach to exploring the production of fine wine, which opened on September 28 at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.  In conjunction with the exhibit, the Museum is also holding a series of Winemaker Weekend events, including an educational day of seminars and tastings and evening winemaker dinner featuring noted winemakers and guest speakers from wine regions around the world.  Download the informational brochure or visit the Library's website for more information.

Message from President Bush

Barbara and I feel very fortunate for the friends and supporters who have made the George Bush Presidential Library Center a reality. In just a few years, it has implemented a wide array of cultural, academic, and policy programs that have gained national attention. We spend considerable time at the Library Center, participating in programs and conferences, as well as teaching, writing, and interacting with the students and faculty. We firmly believe that the school and various programs that the Center sponsors have created a unique learning experience that gives an added dimension to the students, preparing them for the challenges that the new century holds.

November 9 marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an event that symbolized the end of an era and began the process of reunifying a nation.  As part of the celebration at the George Bush Presidential Library Center, Condoleezza Rice, who served as Soviet and East European Affairs Advisor to President George Bush, presented the Lenore & Francis Humphrys International Speakers Series.  Click here to listen to Dr. Rice's lecture and to read more about the fall of the Berlin Wall and Germany's reunification.
