Message from President Bush

As Americans, we daily enjoy the rights and privileges of equality and freedom; however, these could not have been achieved or preserved in our society without the efforts of our brave men and women who serve, or who have served, in the military. I received a first-hand view of this military commitment during my days in the Navy, and it makes me proud to know that Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets consistently produces more officers for the Armed Forces than any other ROTC source. Memorial Day honors those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, while Armed Forces Day recognizes those who are currently serving in the five services - the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. This month, remember to take a moment to thankfully remember those who defend the values that we hold so dear – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
