The George Bush Presidential Library Foundation currently hires interns for three separate internship programs. Students with a 3.0 overall GPR should submit a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation to the Foundation at any time throughout the year. As this is a highly competitive internship, interns are reevaluated each semester before new candidates are accepted.
The first internship is a year-round program in the Foundation office for six Texas A&M University students. Interns are expected to work 20 hours each week in this paid position and complete a variety of duties not limited to responding to donor inquiries, assisting with accounting, and staffing events.
The second internship is an unpaid position with the Office of George Bush (OGB) in Houston, Texas. Two Texas A&M University students are hired to work one day a week for at least four hours that day. OGB interns have the unique opportunity to interact directly with the President's staff while completing a wide variety of administrative duties.
The last internship opportunity is with the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Texas A&M University students are hired to fill positions in the marketing, collections, education, and event's departments. These positions are also year-round and are paid.
