Stacy Palmer - Panel Moderator
Stacy Palmer is editor of The Chronicle of Philanthropy, the leading national publication of nonprofit affairs. Ms. Palmer played an instrumental role in founding the newspaper in 1988 and in the development of its internet site. Previously, she was editor of the government and politics section of The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Lawrence Louie
As Chief Operating Officer of Alibris, Larry Louie is responsible for supply, logistics, and customer service management. Prior to his position at Alibris, Mr. Louie was President and CEO of Peninsula Advisors, Inc., a developer of corporate real estate portfolio software. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of California Berkley, he also served as COO of MIG Financial Corporation and as CFO of Norris, Beggs & Simpson, a major regional commercial real estate firm.
Antoinette M. Bailey
Antoinette (Toni) Bailey is responsible for all community and education relations activities at The Boeing Company. As President of the Boeing-McDonnell Foundation, she is responsible for advancing the goals of not-for-profit organizations and education institutions in the St. Louis area.
Richard D. Fairbank
Richard Fairbank is Chairman and CEO as well as co-founder of Capital One, one of the nation's fastest growing financial services companies. In conjunction with his co-founder, Capital One President and COO Nigel Morris, Mr. Fairbank is the architect of the company's unique information based strategy and entrepreneurial culture.
Lodwrick (Lod) Cook
In addition to serving as Co-Chairman of Global Crossing Ltd., Lod Cook is Chairman, Global Marine Systems, a Global Crossing subsidiary, and Co-Chairman of Asia Global Crossing Ltd. Global Crossing owns the largest fleet of cable laying and maintenance vessels in the world. Mr. Cook was with Atlantic Richfield Company for 39 years and served as Chairman and CEO from 1986 to 1995. Mr. Cook is well known for his philanthropy, especially in the areas of education, youth and minority programs.
Steven J. Uhlfelder
A partner in Holland & Knight's Tallahassee office, Mr. Uhlfelder practices in the administrative and governmental law area and chairs the Holland & Knight Charitable Foundation. Active in public service, he is a member and past chairman of the Florida Board of Regents. A tutor and mentor in the Leon County public schools, Mr. Uhlfelder was named by Governor Jeb Bush as co-chair of the Governor's Mentoring Initiative.
Guaicaipuro Lameda Montero
A brigadier general in the Venezuelan army, General Lameda Montero was appointed President of PDVSA (Petroleos de Venezuela, S. A.) in 2000. Prior to that he managed the Central Planning Office at the Venezuelan Military Industries Chamber, the Defense Ministry's Budget Office and the Venezuelan Government's Central Budget Office.
David Michael (Mike) Rappoport
As Associate General Manager of Salt River Project (SRP), one of the nation's largest public water and electric utilities, Mr. Rappoport is responsible for advertising and corporate research; community, consumer, government and media relations; corporate contributions; and communications.
Steven J. Silvestri
In his role as President and Consumer Bank executive for Bank of America, Texas, Mr. Silvestri is responsible for all Consumer Banking operations throughout Texas. He has been with the bank for 25 years, working in California and Arizona before moving to Texas in 2000. Mr. Silvestri also served as the Bank of America senior bank executive for community and civic activities.
