Brent Scowcroft - President
As President and founder of The Scowcroft Group and one of the country’s experts on international policy, General Scowcroft provides clients with strategic advice and assistance in dealing in the international arena. His 29-year military career began with graduation from West Point and concluded at the rank of Lieutenant General following service as the Deputy National Security Advisor. His Air Force service included Office of the Secretary of Defense International Security Assistance, Special Assistant to the Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Military Assistant to President Nixon. He earned his masters and doctorate in international relations from Columbia University. General Scowcroft has served as the National Security Advisor to both Presidents Ford and Bush. From 1982 to 1989, he was Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc., an international consulting firm. He also served as Chairman of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board under President George W. Bush until 2005. He currently serves on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards. President George Bush presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1991. In 1993, he was presented with the insignia of an Honorary Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
James W. Cicconi - Vice President
Mr. Cicconi is the Senior Executive Vice-President of External and Legislative Affairs for AT&T Inc. He is also currently the Chair of the AT&T Foundation, which provides grants to improve education and strengthen communities. Within AT&T, he has also served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President for Law and Government affairs. Mr. Cicconi earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Before joining AT&T in 1998, he was a partner at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP. Mr. Cicconi has also served in the White House under two presidents: as Deputy Chief of Staff to President George Bush, and as Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan. He has also served as a presidential appointee to the Administrative Conference of the United States. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Cicconi is also a director of El Paso Electric Company , the American Council on Germany, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Terri Lacy - Secretary/Treasurer
A partner in Andrews Kurth LLP, Ms. Lacy focuses her practice on personal tax planning with particular emphasis on structuring estate plans for high wealth individuals. She has extensive experience relating to government ethics laws and uses that expertise to represent officials in the federal administration. First earning her bachelor’s degree at Southern Methodist University, Ms. Lacy went on to obtain her law degree at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Ms. Lacy has been featured as a Texas Super Lawyer in Texas Monthly, an honor which is bestowed based on peer nominations. In the past, she has served as Chair of the Texas Racing Commission and on the Board of Directors of the Memorial Hermann Hospital System. Her current civic affiliations include membership in the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council, the Houston Estate and Financial Forum, and the State Bar of Texas. She is also the Chair of the Federal Salary Council, and she serves on the Board of Directors and as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Barbara Bush Texas Fund for Family Literacy.
Thomas Ludlow Ashley
The Honorable Thomas Ludlow Ashley is currently a director of Layalina Productions, Inc., which produces Arabic-language television programming for broadcast in the Arab Middle East. During World War II, he served in the United States Army as a corporal in the Pacific. A Yale University graduate, he subsequently earned a law degree from Ohio State University Law School at Columbus. He then opened his own law practice. In 1952, he joined the staff of Radio Free Europe, serving in Europe as Co-Director of the Press Section and later as Assistant Director of Special Projects. Congressman Ashley represented Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives for almost three decades. While in Congress, he served as Chairman of both the Select Committee on Energy and the Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries. In 1981, he founded and became the President of a legal and congressional consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Until 1993, he served as the President of the Association of Bank Holding Companies. During that same time, he was also appointed by President George Bush to serve on the National Economic Commission, the HUD Commission on Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing, and the Board of Governors for the United States Postal Services.
Jeb Bush
Serving two terms as the governor of Florida, Jeb Bush strengthened Florida’s economy through the creation of new jobs, and he reformed government programs in the areas of public education and healthcare. Saving Florida taxpayers $313 million, Governor Bush worked to cut spending on projects and introduced tax cuts. He provided leadership during two devastating hurricane seasons as he worked to improve the state’s ability to respond to emergencies. Governor Bush earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Affairs from the University of Texas. Before his terms as governor, Jeb Bush served as Florida’s Secretary of Commerce under Governor Bob Martinez. He also gained business experience as President and Chief Operating Officer of Codina Group, which is now one of the largest full-service commercial real estate firms in South Florida. His civic involvement includes creating the Foundation for Florida’s Future, which helped to establish the state’s first charter school. He has also co-authored a book, Profiles in Character, which describes fourteen of Florida’s civic heroes – individuals making a difference without claiming a single news headline. Along with his wife, Columba, Governor Bush now resides in Miami. The two have three grown children. Jeb Bush is the son of President and Mrs. George Bush.

Andrew H. Card, Jr.

Most recently, Andrew H. Card, Jr., served as Chief of Staff in the presidential administration of President George W. Bush. Mr. Card graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. He attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1975 to 1983. In President Reagan's administration, Mr. Card served as Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and subsequently as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. Mr. Card served in President George Bush's administration as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff, and then as the 11th U.S. Secretary of Transportation. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Card was President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. Prior to being named Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush, Mr. Card was Vice President of Government Relations for General Motors. Mr. Card and his wife, Kathleene, have three children.

Lodwrick M. Cook

Mr. Cook is Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Pacific Capital Group, a merchant bank that invests in real estate, financial services, materials technology and healthcare. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Cane River Development Company, which develops residential real estate projects in California. Mr. Cook earned degrees in Mathematics and Petroleum Engineering at Louisiana State University, the latter after a tour of duty in the U.S. Army. He also earned an MBA at Southern Methodist University. Mr. Cook’s former professional experiences include his service as Co-Chairman of Global Crossing Ltd. and a lengthy career at Atlantic Richfield Company, where he eventually became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The focus of Mr. Cook’s charity work is education, youth, and minority programs. The Points of Light Foundation presented Mr. Cook with the first George Bush Award for his leadership in supporting employee volunteerism and corporate citizenship. Upon appointment by Queen Elizabeth II, Mr. Cook was invested with the Insignia of Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his contribution to Anglo-American relations and support for philanthropic projects around the world. Mr. Cook and his wife, Carole, have five children and ten grandchildren.


Robert B. Holt
A native of Midland, Texas, Robert B. Holt is currently active in the oil and gas energy industry, as well as in ranching and real estate.  Mr. Holt attended the University of Arizona, majoring in geology, and in 1990 received their Alumni Association Outstanding Citizen Award.  He attended the New Mexico Military Institution and in 1993 was inducted into the academy’s Hall of Fame.  He was elected to the Midland City Council where he served six years, two years as Mayor Pro-Tem.  His past political experience includes numerous terms as Chairman of Finance for President George Bush’s campaigns in both state and national elections.  He served as Chairman of the Bush Presidential Inaugural Trust, as National Co-Chairman of Funds for America’s Future, as National Co-Chairman of the Presidential Trust and of Victory ‘88 for the RNC, and as Chairman of the Republican Eagles.  He was chairman of the 1989 Inauguration Committee for the 41st American Presidential Inauguration.  In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of Vote America, which is committed to encouraging young people to take an interest in national politics.  He served multiple times as a delegate to both the Texas State Republican Convention and to the Republican National Convention.  Texas Governor Bill Clements appointed Mr. Holt to the Governor’s Energy Council, and later, to the Department of Public Safety where he served for over fifteen years, attaining the position of Chairman, a post that also included a seat on the Texas Racing Commission.  In 2007 he was appointed by Governor Perry to serve on the Texas Border Security Council where he serves as Vice Chairman.  An art enthusiast, Mr. Holt has served or is currently serving on the boards of several art museums.  He has also been involved in his community through service on a number of civic and social boards of directors.  Mr. Holt has two daughters, Andrea Holt Catania of Midland and Holly Holt Williamson of Austin, Texas.


John H. Lindsey
Mr. Lindsey is the former owner of Lindsey Insurance Agency in Houston, Texas. He founded the firm with his father in 1954, and he now serves as a consultant for the agency, which specializes in business services and investments. Mr. Lindsey served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Artillery during World War II in Japan and Italy. Earning his bachelor’s degree in economics from Texas A&M University, he has since been a dedicated supporter of the university. As national Chairman of “Capturing the Spirit,” a fundraising campaign which raised over $600 million for Texas A&M, Lindsey inspired countless gifts to the university. Mr. Lindsey also served as a Texas A&M Foundation trustee and on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M System. Behind the scenes, Lindsey worked to garner support for a co-educational Texas A&M, to establish a University Press, and to influence the selection of Texas A&M as site of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. He has also served as President of the Association of Former Students and on the boards of the 12th Man Foundation and the A&M University Health Sciences Center College of Medicine. In 1991, he became the first recipient of the 12th Man Award. Mr. Lindsey also serves on the boards of many civic organizations in Houston including the State of Texas Select Committee on Higher Education and the advisory board of South Texas School of Law. He has also served two terms on the board of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.


Frederick D. McClure
Mr. McClure is the Managing Partner of the Washington D.C. office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP. The firm serves the legal and public interest needs of businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals in the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. McClure earned his undergraduate degree in agricultural economics at Texas A&M University and his law degree at Baylor University. He has extensive legislative experience in Congress and broad advocacy experience with the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government. His career highlights include service as Associate Deputy U.S. Attorney General, Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs to President Ronald Reagan, and Assistant for Legislative Affairs to President George Bush. He also served as a member of the National Civil Aviation Review Commission. In 1995, Mr. McClure was appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System, where he served two years as Vice Chairman. In 2001, he was a member of the Bush-Cheney Transition Committee. He has served as Chairman of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association and as a member of the Secretary of Energy’s Advisory Board. Mr. McClure lives in Falls Church, Virginia with his family.
