Laurie G. Firestone
A California native, Ms. Firestone has followed a diverse and interesting career path. After several years in Washington D.C., she returned to the Los Angeles area to work for her alma mater, the University of Southern California where she currently holds the title of Director of Development for the Office of Regional Programs in Orange County and San Diego.

In 1980, then Vice President and Mrs. George Bush selected Ms. Firestone to take on the role of social secretary for the Vice President's Office. Later, in 1988, Ms. Firestone was named White House Social Secretary. Her duties included planning and executing state dinners, luncheons, and receptions for the President and First Lady.

Ms. Firestone is a frequent speaker at community organizations. Her public appearances include protocol analyst on CNN, color commentator for C-SPAN television network's coverage of a White House State Dinner, and discussing White House entertaining on ABC's Good Morning America. For the film The American President, Castlerock Entertainment asked Ms. Firestone to be their White House consultant.

Ms. Firestone is a member of the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities, the Library Advisory Council of the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, and the Isabel O'Neil Foundation in New York. She also serves on the board of Las Floristas. She is the mother of four and grandmother of five.
