Kay & Britt Rice Lecture Series - 10/16/2008

The Wonder of it All
Honoring the men who walked on the moon and became heroes to a nation, The Wonder of it All uses thoughtful and candid accounts from seven moonwalkers to focus on the rarely told human side of the Apollo missions.  The film recounts the narrative of astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Eugene Cernan, Charles Duke, Edgar Mitchell, Harrison Schmitt, and John Young as they intimately reflect on their training, the tragedies encountered by the space program, the camaraderie among fellow astronauts, and the effect their space travel has had on their families.

Jeffrey Roth
Jeffrey Roth attended California State University Northridge where he earned his Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in film production.  He began working on TV movies as an intern in the camera department and worked his way up to a camera assistant on TV sitcoms.  From the age of ten, he was a frequent visitor to Universal Studios where he would sit on the tram and dream about being a director.  His ultimate goal was to tell a story in which he believed; as the writer, director, and executive producer of The Wonder of it All, Roth had the opportunity to tell the remarkable story of the men who became moonwalkers.

Astronauts
Astronauts participating in the Kay and Britt Rice Lecture Series include Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Eugene Cernan, Charles Duke, Joe Kerwin, Ken Mattingly, and John Young.
